Dashboard Overview
A tour of the home screen you land on every time you sign in.
Overview
The Dashboard is the home screen you see right after signing in. It's a live snapshot of your business inside OnePilot: what's set up, what still needs attention, and quick links into the modules you use most.

Why it exists
A new account has a lot of potential and, at first, not much set up yet. The Dashboard's job is to always show you the single next most useful thing to do — rather than leaving you to guess which of a dozen modules to open first.
Benefits
- A personalized checklist that reflects what your account has actually done — connect a phone number and it disappears from the checklist and a real "calls this week" number takes its place.
- One glance, whole business. Recent activity across CRM, campaigns, and messages surfaces here instead of requiring you to check five separate pages.
- The AI Assistant is always one click away, already aware of what's shown on your Dashboard.
Step-by-step guide
- Sign in — the Dashboard is what loads by default.
- Look at the Getting Started checklist near the top if you're new; it lists the highest-value next steps for an account at your stage.
- Scan the activity summary for anything that needs a response (new messages, deals, form submissions).
- Use the sidebar (see the Navigation Guide) to jump into any module directly.
Tips
- The checklist re-orders itself as you complete items — it's meant to be worked through roughly top to bottom, but nothing stops you from skipping ahead.
- If the AI Assistant widget offers a suggested first action, it was chosen based on your account's real state, not a generic script.
Best Practices
- Check the Dashboard first each morning during your first few weeks — it's the fastest way to catch anything that needs attention before it goes stale.
Common Mistakes
- Ignoring the checklist entirely and diving into one module. That's fine if you know exactly what you want, but the checklist order reflects what tends to matter most early on (e.g., connecting a communication channel before running a marketing campaign that drives replies nowhere).
Troubleshooting
If the Dashboard looks empty or generic, confirm your Company Profile is filled in — several Dashboard elements (and most AI features) depend on it.
Frequently Asked Questions
The checklist and activity summary are automatic based on your account's state today. Broader customization isn't available yet.
Checklist items disappear once the underlying action is complete — for example, once a phone number is connected, the "set up your phone system" item is replaced with real call activity.
